Wokingham Canoe Club

Whether you are an experienced paddler or new to the sport you will find a friendly welcome at Wokingham Canoe Club. The club is based at the Wokingham Waterside Centre on a pleasant stretch of the River Thames, just east of Reading town centre.

We are an active club around 200 members ranging in age from 8 to 75. Many members take part in racing - marathon and sprints - from juniors through to veterans. Our white water trips, sea paddles and camping weekends are always popular. The club meets regularly for a paddle on a Wednesday evening (April - October) and on a Sunday morning (all year round). Some of our members can even be found on the river on boxing day!

Our junior members take part in the Paddlesport Challenge, Dragon Boat racing, Sprint and Marathon racing. There is also a junior club night during the summer months where youngsters can learn new skills or just enjoy messing about on the river.

We also have a Ladies and a Junior Dragonboat team that meet and train on a regular basis.

We are based at the Wokingham Waterside Centre, Thames Valley Park Drive, Reading, RG6 1PQ, which is at the end of the A329M (Jct 10 M4).
